Our story
From PEPITe to Indao: 23 years of industrial expertise
Indao is the new name of the company formerly known as PEPITe.
This new identity builds on more than twenty years of experience in industrial data analysis and valorization.
Founded in 2002 by Philippe Mack and Dominique Archambeau, PEPITe was created as a spin-off from the Stochastic Methods Department (Professor Louis Wehenkel, Montefiore Institute) of the University of Liège.
From the very beginning, the company was built around a simple conviction: connecting advanced data analytics with the realities of industrial operations.
Over the years, PEPITe has become a recognized player in industrial analytics, delivering more than 300 projects worldwide across demanding sectors such as energy, heavy process industries, chemicals, and critical infrastructure.
This experience has shaped a unique expertise at the intersection of data science, engineering, and industrial operations.
From 2021 onwards, the company embarked on a major strategic transformation:
new leadership with Baptiste Fosséprez, new shareholders, and a clear ambition to place software at the core of industrial value creation.
This evolution culminates today (March 2026) with Indao.
Indao represents the outcome of more than twenty years of experience and opens a new chapter: software solutions designed to support industrial decision-making, directly at the heart of operations.
