Indao is looking for a Business Development & Events Intern to strengthen its industrial B2B sales pipeline, spanning lead prospecting and qualification, trade shows, and sales follow-up.

About Indao

Indao is a Belgian industrial advanced analytics company based in Liège. We help industrial teams (water, waste, energy, and more) turn their data into concrete decisions, by strengthening human expertise on the ground rather than replacing it.

Our sales team supports industrial B2B sales cycles: prospect identification, trade shows, lead qualification, and follow-up through to the first diagnostics (Success Lab, Digital Data Diagnostic).

We're looking for support to structure and intensify this activity, particularly on the field and in sales follow-up.

Your mission

Reporting to the sales management, you will actively contribute to the development of Indao's pipeline, across three main areas:

1. Prospecting & lead qualification

  • Identifying and qualifying prospects among Indao's target audience (plant managers, energy managers, maintenance and process managers)
  • Populating and updating the CRM (Odoo CRM): contacts, statuses, exchange history
  • Initial qualification contacts (calls, emails) before handoff to sales reps for high-stakes meetings

2. Trade shows and events

  • Logistical preparation of booths and participation in Indao's trade show calendar (Ecomondo, IDI Talks, Tapio Day, Water Tech, etc.)
  • Welcoming visitors and collecting qualified contacts on the ground
  • Structured post-show debriefs and systematic follow-up on contacts made

3. Sales follow-up and outreach

  • Managing follow-up sequences for inbound leads from marketing campaigns
  • Simple reporting: response rate, meeting conversion rate, Success Lab conversion rate
  • Support in structuring talking points and sales FAQs by sector

Profile sought

Background in marketing, business, or management (bachelor's degree or ongoing master's, e.g. Sales Management), with a strong interest in B2B business development.

Expected skills

  • Interpersonal ease and a knack for contact, particularly in event settings
  • Rigor in following up and maintaining a CRM
  • Ability to qualify a need and structure a simple pitch
  • Good command of standard office tools (Excel, Word, Canva)

Personal qualities

  • Autonomy and organizational skills to manage multiple leads and deadlines in parallel
  • Curiosity about the industrial B2B world (water, energy, waste)
  • Prior field experience (booths, events, prospecting) is a strong plus

A real plus

  • Dutch and/or English for our multilingual exchanges
  • Driver's license (occasional travel to trade shows and client visits)

What this internship offers you

  • A full immersion in a complex industrial B2B sales cycle, from first contact through to the Success Lab
  • Active field presence: trade shows, events, client visits
  • Guidance from sales management on structuring the pipeline and follow-up tools
  • A signature end-of-internship goal: for example, fully structuring the post-show follow-up process

Conditions

  • Duration: to be defined based on profile and academic program (curriculum-based internship or work-study)
  • Occasional travel (trade shows, client visits, events)
  • Supervision: sales management, with marketing coordination for materials used
